A visual anchor of the self. In this work, a central, monolithic form rises from the canvas, painted in deep layers of maroon and violet impasto. The spiralling motif at its core suggests a timeline of ancestral memory — a conduit connecting the past to the present. The totem represents the sovereign strength found in one’s own lineage.
